• These are basic installation guidelines. Please see the CB60 Column and Beam Drywall Clip document for detailed installation instructions for the multiple UL Fire-resistive assemblies that utilize the CB60 clip. Slide the CB60 clip onto the flanges of the column or beam.

  • Trim the first layer of gypsum board to the outside edge of the CB60 clip.
  • Gypsum board will be cut and positioned such that only one joint terminates at any outside corner, with the subsequent layer overlapping the underlying joint.
  • Attach the gypsum board with Grabber Type S screws.
  • Finish the assembly with the specified type, thickness and layers of gypsum board, corner bead, and joint compound.

Trim-Tex 093X-V Fire Rated 093 Expansion Joint Bead 10FT (200LF/20 PER BOX)

Building out fire rated control joints on wall assemblies using traditional methods is costly and time consuming. Our fire rated 093X-V expansion bead revolutionizes this process. Integrated intumescent tape rated for 1 and 2 hours, and the flexible bead accommodates up to 3⁄8” in building movement. This product is UL GREENGUARD Gold Certified.

Trim-Tex® Fire Rated 093V Expansion features a deep rigid “V” joined at the bottom with a flexible connection allowing for a full ⅜” in controlled movement. Pink coloring quickly indicates to inspectors that the product is fire rated. Listed under U300 and U400-Series Wall or Partition Design in the UL Fire Resistance Directory. UL Rated for 1 hour and 2 hour assembly, refer to UL Detail documentation for full assembly information. Before installation, ensure that the wall is built to outlined specifications for XHBN.WW-D-0172 in the UL directory.
